According an article by Daily Yokozen Weblog, Apple Computer is entertering into a wireless phone market with iPhone.
Apple has developed a new software "iTune light" with the over-the-air music download capability, which allows the user to download iTune music over the wireless network. It also comes with a USB cable to be connected to PC just like an iPod.
Although Apple has not formally announced iPhone, several pictures were already posted in many web sites. Many industry experts predict that Apple will introduce iPhone as an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) rather than a traditional phone manufacturer. "Apple Computer has millions of 'loyal' fans, which is THE competitive advantage of Apple. It really makes sense for them to offer iPhone as a wireless service provider. It will take only a few years for them to become the third largest carrier after Cingular/AT&T and Verizon.", said Satoshi Nakajima (CEO, UIEvolution Inc.) with a wink ;-)
