I have started blogging in April 2003 (link), on Neoteny server where the famous blogger Joi Itoh blogs. It was all in English. After writing several articles around wireless market (including the "Brief History of Camera Phones", which were referenced in several places) and even acquired several regular visiters, spammers started adding unrelated comments and trackbacks, which were impossible to control. I stopped blogging in November 2003.
I started blogging again in January 2004, but this time in Japanese using Typepad service (the very first article), which has a reasonable spam control mechanism. At the beginning, I have intentionally avoided any work related topics, but it eventually became my repository of ideas on various topics ranging from bio-engineering to IPTVs. Even though it is written in Japanese and target only Japanese readers, I have large number of regular readers, which produces 3,000 to 4,000 daily-ageviews regularly, and occasionally 10,000.
Now, I am starting the third blog (using the same Typepad account), which will be all in English, but without stopping the second one. It means I will start blogging in two langauges. I don't know how much effort I need to put to maintain two blogs, but I will try at least for a couple months to see this is too much or not.
Congratulations on your bilingual Brog establishment. I added your new URL to the Mybloglist. I'll write in here on the other opportunity.
